During the past few months, I have been reading and hearing that listening is a very important skill.
Today's quote is - "The most called-upon prerequisite of a friend is an accessible ear". Author Maya Angelou.
When things are bothering us, some of us talk with friends and like wise, friends talk with us. If my friends are going through a hard time, I always tell them to call if they want to talk. And when they do call, I make the time to listen.
Most of us are selective about who we want to tell things to. But remember that "the accessible ear" is what we all need at times.
